It was actually the breadcrumbs that when I stepped back and looked at the clues, God does not abandon us when we feel this nudge of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:You may be feeling and asking yourself, what am I called to do?
Speaker A:You feel like you've been called to something greater, but you're struggling to see what that might be.
Speaker A:And I understand how hard that struggle is, that feeling of knowing there's more, but you're just not sure what that purpose is yet.
Speaker A:And that's why in this episode we're.
Speaker B:Going to be talking about that nudge.
Speaker A:That you're feeling from the Holy Spirit when you sense he's calling you.
Speaker A:But you just can't seem to see that next step yet.
Speaker A:Because finding your purpose, it isn't what the world says it is.
Speaker A:It's about the purpose that God created you for.
Speaker A:So if you're ready to dig a little deeper into this, grab your notebook and pen and let's dive in with God leading the way.
Speaker B:If you're ready to break free from stuck, gain clarity, and take steps towards discerning your unique purpose, or all while following God's guidance to become the person he created you to be.
Speaker B:If so, you're in the right place.
Speaker B:Hello, I'm Michelle, a Catholic discernment mentor and spiritual coach who went from lost and questioning my purpose to confident in my unique calling, using a Catholic based.
Speaker A:Strategy that places God and the Catholic faith at the center.
Speaker B:Are you ready to dive in, grab your pen and notebook and get comfy, open your heart and mind and invite God in as we get ready to become God created you to be.
Speaker A:Let's do this.
Speaker A:I know you're tired of wondering what God is calling you to do.
Speaker A:I know you're tired of praying, journaling and trying to listen and still not feeling sure you've tried.
Speaker A:You're tired of second guessing every decision, asking yourself, is this God or is this just me?
Speaker A:You want to follow God's will, but you just don't know how to hear him clearly.
Speaker A:You're trying to do the right things, but that clarity, it just hasn't come.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And that leaves you feeling stuck, hesitant and just unsure of your purpose.
Speaker A:And I want you to stop guessing.
Speaker A:I want you to stop overthinking every nudge.
Speaker A:And I want you to learn a simpler, peaceful way to discern God's voice without pressure, confusion, or just spiraling.
Speaker A:And that's exactly why I created the Learn to Hear God's Voice workshop in this free live training that's happening on January 13th I'll show you how God actually guides you.
Speaker A:How to recognize his voice with more clarity, and how to lead with a clear next step, even if you don't have the whole picture yet.

Speaker A:So let's get you out of confusion and into clarity.
Speaker A:You don't have to stay stuck.
Speaker A:All right, let's dive in.
Speaker A:I remember when I was really struggling with this question of purpose.
Speaker A:I had left my corporate job and I had become a stay at home wife.
Speaker A:And then I became a stay at home mom.
Speaker A:And on the outside everything looked fine, but internally I was questioning what I was actually called to do.
Speaker A:I tried to figure it out on my own, what I thought I was supposed to do.
Speaker A:So I tried doing what I love to do as an additional way to bring in money for our household.
Speaker A:And I thought my purpose was making sublimation projects because I loved the end products and I thought it was selling skin care that I loved and used.
Speaker A:And for a while I convinced myself this must be it.
Speaker A:But something still just felt off.
Speaker A:It just didn't feel right.
Speaker A:When I was pregnant with my daughter, I did a mindset exercise that really helped me get clear on what I wanted.
Speaker A:And instead of clarity, it actually stirred a deeper question within me.
Speaker A:And that was, what is my purpose?
Speaker A:I remember feeling this nudge, like God was inviting me into something more.
Speaker A:But I couldn't just see what that was yet.
Speaker A:I just knew I was struggling to see it.
Speaker A:And I needed God to give me that direction.
Speaker A:I needed to hear God's voice along this path.
Speaker A:And the truth was, I didn't yet know how to see what God was already showing me.
Speaker A:What I didn't realize at the time was that my confusion wasn't random.
Speaker A:It was coming from the way I had been taught to think about purpose.
Speaker A:And that brings me to the first thing that I want you to understand today.
Speaker A:If any part of my story sounds familiar, I want you to know there's nothing wrong with you.
Speaker A:That confusion usually isn't about our effort or our faith.
Speaker A:It's about the definition of purpose that we've been handed.
Speaker A:So let's start there.
Speaker A:Because I thought my purpose was selling skin care and I thought it was selling that personalized sublimation projects.
Speaker A:I was doing what the world said was my purpose and not what God actually said my purpose was.
Speaker A:What I've noticed out there in this space is that the world tells us it's what your passion is, is that your purpose.
Speaker A:And that is a clue.
Speaker A:But there are other clues that go into and factor into what your purpose is, what your God given purpose is.
Speaker A:It was actually the breadcrumbs that when I stepped back and looked at the clues, God does not abandon us when we feel the snudge of the Holy Spirit to what we are called to do.
Speaker A:That is something greater than we know what we are called to do.
Speaker A:He knew what he was doing when he willed you because he had a plan and a specific purpose that you are uniquely created for.
Speaker A: And in Jeremiah: Speaker A:And in that plan is your unique.
Speaker B:Purpose that you were created for.
Speaker A:One of the ways to find your purpose is looking back at the breadcrumbs that God left for us.
Speaker A:He knew what he was doing because God is all knowing.
Speaker A:And these breadcrumbs, these are clues.
Speaker A:As I was reflecting on God's Word this week, I was reminded in Philippians 2:12,28 that we are to shine our light in this world in verse 13.
Speaker A:Specifically, the Holy Word says, for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Speaker A:So God dwells inside you and he's working even when you feel unsure.
Speaker A:God is already working in you.
Speaker A:And I really want you to understand that.
Speaker A:And we may not see it or be aware of what our purpose is, but God leaves us those breadcrumbs to help us to find our purpose.
Speaker A:So one of the ways to help you get started today by looking at the trail of the breadcrumbs that God has left for you is journaling.
Speaker A:I know as you've been listening to these episodes, or if this is your first time, you will learn as you listen to the episodes that journaling is very important.
Speaker A:This is a powerful spiritual tool to help you.
Speaker A:What I invite you to do is to find a quiet place and a space that you will not get interrupted as you do this work.
Speaker A:And you want to pick a time that you do your best thinking.
Speaker A:For me, it's typically in the evenings after my toddlers are asleep.
Speaker A:Now, in your journal, I want you to reflect on what lights you up.
Speaker A:These things that energize you, they make you feel more alive when you're doing them and you'll spend some time working on this today.
Speaker A:So really just sit and think about this.
Speaker A:And if you're listening to it and it's way out late and your brain is shut down, that's fine.
Speaker A:Pick a tape tomorrow.
Speaker A:But promise yourself that you're going to do this work.
Speaker A:You're going to do it today, tomorrow, or maybe the flu is going around so maybe you can't get right to it.
Speaker A:Then do it this week.
Speaker A:Make that commitment to you.
Speaker A:And here's what I want you to remember from today's episode.
Speaker A:Your purpose is not what the world tells you what it is, but what God created you for.
Speaker A:And God does not abandon us when it comes to finding your purpose that he created you uniquely for.
Speaker A:He leaves us breadcrumbs as we search for our purpose in life, we need to learn how to notice the breadcrumbs God has left for us.
Speaker A:I know how exhausting this can feel.
Speaker A:You want to follow God's will, but you're not sure how to hear him clearly.
Speaker A:You're praying, you're thinking, and you're trying to be faithful and yet you're still stuck wondering what am I supposed to do next?
Speaker A:You don't need to try harder or overthink it.
Speaker A:You just need a simple, God centered way to start discerning without the fear of getting it wrong.
Speaker A:That's exactly why I created my free workshop, Hearing God's Voice.
Speaker A:I'll walk you through how God actually guides you, how to recognize his voice with more clarity, and how to lead with one clear, faithful next step.
Speaker A:Not a ten step plan.
Speaker A:So you can join me right now at Bit ly godsvoiceworkshop or which is bit L Y G O D S V O I C E W O R K S O P and the link is also in the show description.
Speaker A:And if you're ready to stop spinning and start moving forward with peace, then this is for you.
Speaker A:All right, let us pray in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Jesus, you created us for a unique purpose.
Speaker A:You are a loving and all knowing God.
Speaker A:Please help this beautiful soul who's searching for what you have called her to do in life.
Speaker A:Please help her as she feels the Holy Spirit calling her to something greater and struggling to see what it is.
Speaker A:Help her to notice the breadcrumbs that you have wonderfully left her.
Speaker A:Help her to take the next step that you are calling her to do and to step out in faith.
Speaker A:We make this pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Alright, so let's take this from our head to heart.
Speaker A:Because knowing the truth is powerful.
Speaker A:But that real change happens when we act in faith just one small step at a time.
Speaker A:So to help you get started, I want you to grab your journal and reflect on what lights you up.
Speaker A:Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and to help you reveal those breadcrumbs that God has left for you.
Speaker A:And let's continue this conversation in the Facebook community, finding your purpose, discernment and strategy for Catholic moms.
Speaker A:And let us know what lights you up.
Speaker A:I cannot wait to hear what lights you up.
Speaker A:And remember, my beautiful sister in Christ, that God uniquely created you for a unique purpose.
Speaker B:You were made to do great things.
Speaker A:God is within you and you will not fail.
